The Hands on Project is a RAWCS sanctioned activity and the Seymour Rotary Club recently donated $500 to the project.

On Sunday the 21st of January, President Ron and Fiona McCarthy attended the Alexandra Town Hall where ten prosthetic limbs were assembled. Each limb took 2 hours to compete which included providing the club details so that the recipient can communicate with the club directly in the future.

During the ten years of fighting in the Vietnam war, a lot of the bombs dropped did not explode, which led to children in Laos, Cambodia and other countries trying to profit by retrieving the metal. Quite often this resulted in handling live ammunition which would explode and damage their limbs. Hence the need for prosthetics.
