London to Melbourne Bicycle Adventure - Danny Seehusen and John Clark

Danny Seehusen and John Clark recently completed a fourteen month journey on bicycles as part of Ride2Rescue, travelling 24,000km from London to Melbourne! The ride saw the pair cross through three continents, ten timezones, twenty seven countries, hundreds of towns, a variety of cultures and they are now available as guest speakers for schools, clubs and organisations.

Throughout their epic ride they encountered all sorts of challenges, cultures and incredible experiences. Danny and John sweated through the scorching hot temperatures of Iran, ridden in pain while suffering with haemroids in India, been stopped at gun point in Pakistan, camped at service stations in Turkey and were provided five star accomodation in South East Asia.... the list really does go on.

Danny and John have appeared on television in Pakistan, Singapore, Indonesia and Australia sharing their stories and now you can have them share their journey with your school, company or club.

Danny Seehusen
Daniel draws the attention of a room as he enters and then his booming voice and loving nature wins over your concentration almost instantly. Not to mention he was the brains behind the London to Melbourne bicycle ride concept. An idea of a 24,000km physical feat that many would never even contemplate and some people can't even comprehend.

Although, physical and sporting feats are no new experience for Daniel who has completed the Paris and New York marathons, trekked to Mt Everest base camp, played state league Australian Football and is currently in training for the 2013 Melbourne Ironman event.

Daniel has spoken at several schools, sporting and Rotary clubs and to businesses throughout the epic journey. His skill to include all members of an audience is unparalleled and he has the ability to fill the most reluctant participant with confidence. Daniel has incidentally found himself involved with the funniest of stories from the ride so not only will he inspire he will most certainly be very entertaining.

John Clark
Growing up, John followed many interests of his elder brother. One of these interests was cycling and quickly John became a cycling enthusiast and competed in national championships in both Cross-Country and Downhill Mountain Biking. It was this experience in cycling, or more so bicycle maintenance, that led Daniel to asking John to join him on the London to Melbourne expedition.

In addition to his diverse sporting ventures that have including playing Soccer and Australian Football at a senior level, Surfing, Snowboarding and competing in running and triathlon events he has also succeeded academically. John has completed a Bachelor of Business (Sport and Leisure Management) at La Trobe University which has led him to variety of management roles within the sport and recreation industry.

John has spoken at several schools, sporting and Rotary clubs and to businesses. He enjoys sharing stories from Danny and John's 14 month long bicycle ride from London to Melbourne. His ability to communicate with people of different age groups, cultures and social classes is exceptional as is his capability to hook any audience with tales of his experiences on two wheels.

"Having audiences captivated by our stories is a wonderful feeling. Everyone has goals and dreams but sadly many people never believe it’s possible to achieve them. My aim is to change that thought process and encourage people to challenge themselves to achieve their goals." John Clark.

Our Presentation
Not only will Danny and John motivate, inspire and entertain your school, club or company they will also involve their audience in supporting several worthy causes. The best thing is the audience selects where their money goes!

During the London to Melbourne bicycle ride Danny and John visited many NGOs, including Rotary clubs, in several countries and also several small community projects that could benefit greatly from financial support. However there were two projects in particular that Danny and John would most like to support; STOP and Master Ayub Slum School. To help these projects develop. Danny and John donate a percentage of their earnings to the project the audience selects.

“These guys are fantastic - to have such a down to earth bunch of guys talk about what is an epic journey, their experiences and a wonderful cause kept our members truly engaged for the whole presentation. Would highly recommend them to any Rotary Club as guest speakers.“  President Rotary Club of Pascoe Vale
