The Magic of Laughter - Don Jones

My name is Don Jones and I am a comedy entertainer. I have been a professional comedian for over 30 years.

My presentation “The Magic of Laughter” is a fun filled hour of half stand-up comedy, half serious message.

The programme is specially formulated to relate to the mature group of audiences. The comedy is CLEAN; the message is clear and offers a formula that enables the participants to add humour to their every day lives. Laughter is the best medicine so the old saying goes, and we need to laugh more. “The Magic of Laughter shows people the lighter side of life.

Why use humour in daily life? The answer is simple.

You get immediate results. It takes no special talent or ability, no physical prowess or skill, you aren't required to have a master’s degree or a license, it makes you feel good, it's fun, fat-free and you don't need batteries. A good laugh may be good for the heart.

A team of medical researchers found that people with heart disease were 40 percent less likely to laugh in humorous situations than those with healthy hearts.

The healthful benefits of laughter are cause for great celebration among psychologists. They now recognize the therapeutic value of humour in the workplace and have begun to prescribe it for their patients.

I look forward to hearing from you.
