Greetings Fellow Rotarians:

We know it seems early to be promoting the 2010 Montreal Convention, but the discount registration deadline closes in just 20 weeks and the Convention is only 47 weeks away!

You may have already registered at the Birmingham Convention, but if you didn't have that opportunity, we wanted to encourage you to begin making your plans to join us in Montreal.

How to Register
 rotarythemeRegister Online
Getting registered for the convention is very easy.  You can either go to the Rotary web site  http://www.rotary.org or to the Host Organizing Commitee web site  http://www.rotary2010.com  Or, if you would like to learn more about the convention before placing your registration, you can visit the Convention Goers Fellowship web site, download the complete registration booklet, and then register online.  You'll find the booklet at http://www.conventiongoers.org/download.htm
Your Basic Checklist
Convention Venue These are the "Must Do" Items
  1. MAKE YOUR HOUSING RESERVATIONS NOW!!  This is most important.  The longer you wait, the greater the chance you will miss out on the hotel of your choice.  Complete housing info is in the Convention Registration book and on the RI web site.
  2. Register for the Convention BEFORE December 15 so you will receive the biggest registration discount.  If you wait until later your convention fees will increase throughout the Rotary year.
  3. Reserve your Host Organizing Event Tickets now to insure you'll get into the events you want to attend.
Why Attend the Convention?
There are many reasons to attend the annual convention, following are just a few:
  • Learn about successful and innovative projects that your club can replicate and develop long-term partnerships to benefit your community and beyond
  • Be motivated and inspired by internationallay known speakers
  • Be educated by the many breakout sessions that will help you and your club grow and be successful
  • Build lifelong friendships with people who share your vision for a better world and HAVE FUN!!
We are looking for a great turnout at the Montreal convention.  Visiting Montreal is like visiting Europe and never having to leave North America.  There is something for everyone and it is a very family friendly city.

The only thing that will make it even better will be having you join us.  Register now and look for future issues of this monthly newsletter that will keep you updated on all convention activities.  And, visit all three of the convention-related web sites (see the Quick Links Box above on the left) on a regular basis to stay on top of all the latest news.

We look forward to haviung all RAG members, all Fellowship members, and all of the Devlyn Action Team and Amigos join us for a truly "International Experience".

See you in Montreal . . . .
