The Rotary Club of Southern Mitchell together with the Kilmore Art Society will present the Fifth Kilmore Art Expo from 13th to 15th April at the Memorial Hall, Sydney Street, Kilmore. This annual exhibition includes over 500 Quality Paintings, with a wide range of styles and prices. Photography will be a major part of the Expo again this year. Invited artists in other media will also exhibit their work - the Northern Wood Turners Group, ceramics by David Lyons, glass art by Marina Villani, Soft Sculpture by Janis Brasher and jewellery by Ted Gray & Liz Mansfield. All artwork is for sale, so as a visitor you can just browse or buy - maybe buying a piece from a potentially famous young artist? There will be live demonstrations throughout the weekend -fascinating to watch, whether you are an artist or just an interested observer. The feature artist on Saturday 14th April at 2.30pm, is Paul Margocsy, a distinguished wildlife artist. Major landmarks in Paul's high profile career include a water bird series of stamps for Australia Post and being commissioned by the United Nations to paint a series of works on endangered species. On Saturday morning at 11am, local artist Maureen Runge will hold a water colour demonstration. Maureen is s a multi award winning artist who has had many solo exhibitions as well as showing her work in other Art Shows locally and further afield. Peter Matheson is our other guest artist who will run a live demonstration on Sunday 15 April. Peter works in oils, pastels and pencil. He is a multiple award winning landscape artist, portrait artist and illustrator, who resides and works in Alexandra in Central Victoria. |

Exhibition Hours Saturday 14 April 10 am - 6 pm and Sunday 15 April 10am - 4pm. Includes a Cocktail Party on Saturday 4 - 6 pm. Admission is $6 including catalogue and Door Prize Ticket. $3 for Pension / Concession Card Holders - Free for Accompanied Children under 12 yrs. Café at the venue. Opening Night: Friday 13 April from 6.30pm - Awards will commence at 7.30pm Admission is $18 including light refreshments, catalogue and Door Prize Ticket.
