Rosanna by Wikipedia

Rosanna is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 12 km north-east from Melbourne's central business district. Its Local Government Area is the City of Banyule. At the 2006 Census, Rosanna had a population of 7439.

Rosanna Post Office opened on 12 March 1914, closed in 1917 and reopened in 1926. Banyule is a neighbourhood in Rosanna near the Yarra River named after the Woiwurrung word Banyule, meaning "Hill". Banyule Post Office opened on 1 February 1969 replacing that of Viewbank.

Barry Humphries has stated that during his travels around the world he always keeps a street guide of Melbourne (Melways) handy and has stated that Rosanna is one of the towns he would love to visit just based on its name alone.

The suburb is home to many schools, bush parks, public recreational facilities and has its own railway station.
