It is with deep sadness that I write to let you know that my mum, Dianne passed away suddenly on Thursday night. As you may know she had been suffering with frontal lobe dementia for the last couple of years.

Her passing whilst a big shock in its suddenness is in some way a comfort as it spares her from the awful ravages of such a hideous illness.

We managed to take our little baby Sophia in on Thursday and mum had a cuddle with her. She was very proud to be a nana.

It is a wonderful comfort that her last day was such a lovely one for her.

Sandy Brodine

Di Lee was a much loved and respected member of the Rotary Club of Rosanna. She joined on 15th April 1994, almost 12 months after her husband Peter passed away in a car accident. Peter had also been a member of the club and was president for the 1991-92 Rotary year.

Di served on several club committees but her real interest was youth and was heavily involved at District level with RYLA from 2004 until she became too ill to maintain a full involvement.

Like her husband Peter, Di had a passion for motor cars and woe betide anyone who stood in the way of her beloved red MGB. She was a member of the MG Car Club and the holder of a CAMS License, driving in rallies and MG Car Club meetings.

She was also a brilliant seamstress, and actually "painted" with her sewing machine. Some of her works were indeed a work of art. She also made dolls and in one year had a stand at a District Conference where she proudly displayed many examples of her fine work.

She is survived by her mother Marie, her sisters Barbara and Helen, her brother Laurie, her daughters Lindy and Sandy and grand daughter of some two weeks, Sophie whom she saw for the first time only hours before her passing. While she was unable to attend club meetings in the last months of her illness, she was often in member's thoughts and remembered fondly. Her happy smile will be sorely missed.

Dianne Lee served and supported RYLA in many capacities between 2000 and 2008. What a supporter she was! High energy, a counsel to so many, giving and giving. A generous and loving spirit that is missed and will be missed.

Our prayers are supporting Sandy, Brendan, Sophia and the Lee family

Linda Gidlund.

The funeral will be on Friday, 15 July at 12 o'clock at North Ringwood Uniting Church, Dickson Crescent, North Ringwood.
