The Rotary Club of Preston and Mental Illness Fellowship Victoria make a winning combination at the Open Mind Fiesta in Preston.
In Australia one in five persons will be affected in some way by mental illness. Over the years the Rotary Club of Preston, a community based service club, has supported the M I Fellowship in the field of mental illness by:

Volunteering, in concert with M I fellowship, to bring together an enjoyable fiesta that families can enjoy with rides, entertainment and novelties to ensure a fun day, |

Providing financial support for the Well Ways suite of programs which educate those who live with mental illness and their families and friends to navigate the health system and provide necessary support to achieve a healthy life with positive outcomes including housing, education and employment - the life requirements we all aspire to. |
The landmark 10th anniversary of Open Mind Fiesta will be held on Sunday 16th October, 11am -5pm, in High Street Preston.
This year the Club is planning a membership drive to encourage people from all walks of life to be part of an organisation that helps and supports the community along with enjoying some time with others that also want to make a difference in the community. All Rotarians are welcome to come and say hello and support this day.
Importantly, the primary objective of the Open Mind Fiesta is to highlight to the public the understanding and support that is required by individuals and families suffering a mental illness.
