Day Trip
to
Marysville

Rotary Club of Eltham are planning a day trip to Marysville for members, partners and family and friends as a way of showing some visible Rotary support for the re-establishment of the township.

I notice that a Farmer's Market is held on the fourth Sunday of each month, so I'm proposing one of those days. Original date postponed. New date to be announced.

My idea is for interested clubs to take a bus(es) - leaving Diamond Valley areas at 9-30 , arrive Marysville at 11.00 am.

Spend some time browsing, spend $5.00 or $105.00 at the market and local shops, then gather for a fundraising lunch (eg, CFA/School/Kinder) @ $30.00 ph plus drinks for purchase. back on the buses at 3-30 for a return to home bases by 5-00ish.

I can arrange some live entertainment - I know that Greg Champion of ABC Radio and Coodabeens - is an Eltham resident and "Marysville"ophile and would support us if available and no doubt the local community up there would get behind us.

A great promo for Rotary and a pleasant way to spend a Sunday in late summer.

We anticipate general support from District 9790 and I await your collective thoughts.
