It with great sadness that the death of Gerry Crothers, Past President, Paul Harris Fellow and friend of many is advised.

Some 17 months or so ago Gerry suffered a stroke while on his way to a former exchange student’s funeral in France; sadly it turned out that it was caused by a tumour which could not be completely removed.

Gerry and his wife Jan were always great contributors to club activies and this included a huge involvement with the Portsea Camp, both as camp counsellors and on working parties.

Gerry’s funeral attracted over 500 mourners, which in itself is a recognition and tribute to a wonderful Rotarian and family man.

He will be sadly missed.
