On Wednesday the 25th August Belvoir Wodonga and Wodonga West Rotary Clubs had a combined meeting at Hollywoods Restaurant followed by a concert performed by the Newcombe Secondary College Orchestral Band (Geelong).
The band was touring the North East to hone their performance skills and entertain students from local schools for three days. The band approached our clubs to see if we would be interested in a free performance so the students could perform to an adult audience, something they were not able to frequently do.
During the evening the band was joined by the Wodonga City Brass Band for a set and set the place rocking. The night was enjoyed by all who attended and the Newcombe Secondary College students were delighted with the enthusiastic Rotarian response.
All Rotarians from both clubs enjoyed the very social combined meeting and are determined to hold such meetings in the future.
