Conference Day Tours - Sat October 11 & Sun October 12
 
   
Tour 1 Sat 11th Albury, Ettamogah & Rutherglen Tour 9am - 5pm
Tour 2 Sat 11th King Valley Tour 9am - 5pm
Tour 3 Sun 12th Local Gourmet Tour 10am - 3pm
 
We will endeavour to place you in your first chioce, however 10 people are required as a minimum for each tour to operate.

Tour 1 - Albury / Ettamogah / Rutherglen
 
Saturday October 11th 9:00am - 5:00pm
 
Visit a wildlife park, watch penguins being fed, see the Ettamogah Pub and a Winery...all in one day!
 
  • Depart from hotel, travel directly through Albury to the OzE Wildlife Park.  (Approx 1 hour 15mins travel time)  Time to wander freely with kangaroos and wallabies and see koalas and other animals close up.  At 11am witness fairy penguins being fed.

  • Proceed to the famous Ettamogah Pub where there will be time for photos and souvenir shopping.

  • Proceed to Rutherglen, famous for heavy red and fortified wines.  Visit All Saints Winery for a 2 course lunch and have time for wine tasting.

  • Call at Boorhaman Hotel and Buffalo Brewery on the way back to Wangaratta.

  • Return to hotel.

 

Price $120 pp includes transport, entrance fees and lunch. Drinks not included

 
 
Tour 2 - King Valley
 
Saturday October 11th 9:00am - 5:00pm
 
Wine Tasting and a visit to Powers Lookout with spectacular views of King Valley
 
  • Departfrom hotel, travel directly to Powers Lookout (Approx 1hr travel time).  Time to enjoy the spectacular views and appreciate the historic significance of the area from bushranging times.

  • Start the return journey to Wangaratta visiting Station Creek Wines where coffee, snacks and wines are available.

  • Proceed to the historic Gracebrook Stables for lunch and an opportunity to explore the stables, taste wines and play petanque.

  • Proceed to Sam Miranda Wines for another wine tasting opportunity

  • Return to hotel.
 

Price $85 pp includes transport and lunch.
Wine Tasting included but wine not included with lunch

 
 
Tour 3 - Gourmet Tour
 
Sunday October 12th 10:00am - 3:00pm
 
Visit and sample a variety of local food and wine!
 
  • Depart from hotel, travel to EV Olives at Markwood (Approx 20min travel time, the furthest point from Wangaratta) for tastings of fruit and oils and see their olive nursery and grove.

  • Proceed to the famous award winning Milawa Cheese Company for a private guided cheese tasting.

  • Proceed to Milawa Mustards where 20 different varieties of mustards as well as other sauces are available for tasting and sales.

  • Proceed to Brown Brothers Winery for a 2 course lunch at the Epicurean Centre where each course has matching wines.  After lunch you will have a chance for wine tasting and purchase at the cellar door.

  • Return to the hotel.

 

Price $115 pp includes transport, lunch, tasting of wines, cheeses, mustards and olives. Also includes 2 glasses of wine with lunch.
