| Club Goal Setting | |||||||
It would be a great achievement if clubs could get every member to contribute $100.00 per head to enable us to help the less fortunate people of the world. They need our help; they need our assistance let's support them and make this place a better place to live. A $100 contribution, for example, can help provide school supplies for 15 students in Costa Rica; Tuition and books for one year of school for two children in Sri Lanka. A $500 contribution can provide eyeglasses for 200 people in Nigeria; Ten-month food supply for a child in Nigeria and $1,000, micro enterprise loans for 22 women in the Philippines. Clean water for over 300 people in Haiti Every Rotarian giving to the Foundation Every Year means putting into action the Foundation's mission of improving health, supporting education, and alleviating poverty. So let's do it. Call for Applications - Rotary World Peace Fellowships (RWPF) The Rotary Foundation applications each year for Rotary World Peace Fellowships (RWPF) and Rotary Peace and Conflict Studies (RPCS) Program sessions are available through the District TRF Chairman. Program Synopses The Rotary Centres for International Studies program offers fellowships for master's degree study fields related to peace and conflict resolution. Beyond academics, Rotary World Peace Fellows also gain practical skills in conflict resolution appropriate to their individual careers. The Rotary Peace and Conflict Studies Program is a professional development program held in Bangkok, Thailand, through which up to 30 participants embark on three months of intensive study instructed by some of the leading specialists in the peace and conflict resolution fields. The specialized curriculum has been crafted to capitalize on the experience of both participants and lecturers while balancing theoretical and practical learning. Ideal for busy professionals, the customized program helps promising leaders expand their global outlook, strengthen their negotiation skills, and ultimately make a positive impact on future peace and conflict resolution efforts worldwide.
