District 9790 Foundation Committee would like to thank all those District 9790 Rotarians that have worked hard to make donations to "The Foundation" for this Rotary year 2010 - 2011.
The many Clubs of District that have provided their annual donation to The Foundation, and the individual Rotarians and friends of Rotary who have contributed in many ways including the "Every Rotarian Every Year" and "The District 9790 Paul Harris Society".
Special thanks must go to "The Ride to Conference" bike riders who at last count had raised $19,730.50 towards Polio Plus and PDG Don & Joan Cox who have worked diligently in encouraging our District members to become Paul Harris Society members, PFS members contributing US$16,000.00, two individual donations of $10,000 and $30,000 and a number of Clubs that have ensured that 100% of their Club members have contributed to the "Every Rotarian Every Year" program.
Currently the total donations to The Foundation, as of the late Apri 2011, are $121,000. This amount does not include some funds that have been paid direct to RI Sydney and not advised to our District Secretary.
To those that have not taken the opportunity to donate to YOUR CHARITY, The Rotary Foundation, please take advantage of the great exchange rate currently on offer so that your dollar donation counts more than it has in the past. Also remember that if the cheque is made out to the "The Australian Rotary Foundation Trust" you can claim tax deductibility.
Again a big thank you to all members of District 9790 who or will contribute to The Foundation this Rotary year.
