RAWCS Volunteers
RAWCS teams of 6-8 volunteers mainly go to SE Asia and the Pacific for 2 weeks to work with the locals on building projects. |
- • Put together a Volunteers team made up of Rotarians and non-Rotarians with some building skills and possibly sponsored building apprentices.
• Partner with a local or overseas Rotary club. (refer to ProjectLINK on Rotary website) |

Safe Water Save Lives (SWSL)
Safe Water Save Lives is a program to supply clean water to desperate people in underdeveloped countries through a planned system of water catchment, storage and reticulation.

- • Donate to the program generally.
- • Contribute to the cost of providing and shipping equipment (water tanks, pumps, solar panels, filters etc to selected locations.
- • Put together a RAWCS Volunteers team (as above).

Sponsorship as appropriate to scale and nature of project.
Team costs as above plus cost possibly of transport of specialist material to the work site. |

Donations In Kind (DIK)
The program involves the collection, sorting, packing, dispatch and distribution of donated items to countries in need of these goods. |
- • Publicise the program and source goods in your community.
- • Sort and maintain goods at the warehouse.
- • Pack shipping container. (Club Working Bee)
- • Sponsor transport costs.

Contribute say $500 towards cost of a container.
Sponsor the container shipping costs of around $2,500 to $4,000. |

Rotary Oceania Medical Aid foRotary Club of hildren, ROMAC.
This program provides children under the age of 15 with treatment for major surgical problems that are unable to be treated in their own countries. The treatment is performed by surgeons in Australia and New Zealand who donate their time free. |
- • Donate to sponsor the program/ or a particular patient.
- • Provide accommodation and/or travel support for patient and/or family member while in Victoria/NSW.
- • Provide friendship and recreation opportunity as a break from hospital for patient & family member.
- • Promote community awareness and support for the program.

INTERPLAST
Is a multi District Program which is a joint venture with the Australian College of Surgeons, which provides expertise in plastic and reconstructive surgery, through volunteers teams of surgeons and nurses, going to the South Pacific and countries north of Australia.

- The Interplast team travels to provide treatment in the patients’ home country.

The prevention of mortality, and a reduction in morbidity and social and economic loss caused by malaria through a progressive improvement and strengthening of local and national capabilities in malaria control.

- • “Adopt a Village”- allows every man, woman and child in your adopted village the opportunity to sleep under a Life Saving Treated Bed net each night.
- • Promote community awareness and support particularly through publicity and events for Malaria Awareness Day.

A small village may cost $1,000, a medium size village may cost $2,000 and a large village may cost $3,000. |
