The GSE Experience

We are pleased to present the team that will represent Central Florida, USA in the 2012 Group Study Exchange program with District 9790 in Australia, February 28th - March 28th, 2012.

Some information about Rotarian Clark Gwinn (Team Leader) Team Members Elizabeth Downey, Nardia Garzon, Julissa Gonzalez, Kristin Henry and Jeff Muddell together with their photographs are shown below.

This is an exciting and vocationally and culturally rewarding programme, and District Governor David Anderson wishes all participants every success with the Exchange.


DISTRICT 6980 TEAM  

Clark Gwinn (Team Leader)

Clark Gwinn is the team leader and a Rotarian for 38 years. He is a retired financial consultant who spends his time serving the community and his Seminole County Club. He has been married 50 years to his wife Allie, has 3 daughters and 4 grandsons. Clark enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, boating, and fishing. He also frequently hosts International Rotarians in his home.

Elizabeth Downey

Elizabeth Downey is vice president of Execu-Tech Business Systems, Inc., an office equipment and document solutions company that has served Central Florida for 26 years. Her responsibilities include maintaining customer relationships, marketing and sales. She is looking forward to learning more about other office equipment companies in direct relation with customer care and marketing.

Nadia Garzon

Nadia Garzon is a professional bilingual actress, puppeteer and voice over talent. Nadia works with organizations, theatres, and production companies in Central Florida. In addition, she works full time as a Performer, Director, Writer, and Development Coordinator at MicheLee Puppets, a non-profit organization which tours with educational puppetry productions throughout Florida.

Julissa Gonzalez

Julissa Gonzalez is the communications manager of Quest, Inc., a non-profit organization serving children & adults with disabilities. In her role she oversees corporate messaging, media relations and other internal and external communications that assist with branding, fundraising and outreach. Julissa would like to spend time at marketing and public agencies, as well as agencies that focus on disability services.

Kristin Henry

Kristin Henry is an operations manager and community liaison for Supporting Independence, Inc., a home health care agency for all ages. As a key member of the Supporting Independence family, she helps recruit, train and retain nurses of all skill levels. While in Australia, Kristin hopes to gain immense knowledge of universal healthcare, as well as skills that could be implemented in healthcare in the U.S.

Jeff Muddell

Jeff Muddell is a vice president for Arnold Palmer Medical Center Foundation, the charitable arm of Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies. He would like to learn more about Australia's MediCare system, spending time in hospitals & health care facilities. Also, he looks to connect with those who work in the charitable sector, especially children's charities.
