Report to District Chairman and Regional Coordinators in May 2007

Name Change
The fund is now changing its name to ''Australian Rotary Health". This has been done with RI approval. A new Logo has been designed and made available.

New directions

As you are aware the Mental Illness and Depression programs will be continued to the end of 2008. The Board has decided to make the major focus for the next phase of the program.

''The mental well being of our young and Adolescent Youth''.

Roving ARHRF ''Ambassadors''
- now known as ARH ''Ambassadors''

To give further opportunity to spread the word about the Fund a number of Ambassadors will be appointed. They in no way will intrude on the activities of the Directors, the Regional Coordinators, but will work with them to be available for speaking engagements or special activities where representative of the committee would be unable to attend.

Constant updates of the ARHRF programs and projects will enable them to be in a position to continue supporting the ARHRF.

Further information on this will be made available when the ''Position Description'' has been finalised.

A sincere thank you

The Board would like to sincerely thank all those that give freely of their time to support our many programs and projects.

The ARH is now becoming recognised across all areas of research, and has the support of Federal, State, and Territory government.

The effectiveness of the fund is very much in the hands of all groups in any way associated with us.

If you have not looked at the site in recent times then please do so. It is completely updated and is formatted for ready access to all our programs. Click here

News items

Please send any items published in your local newspapers to our Sydney office, as we do keep a file that is updated weekly.

Your input

The effectiveness of the fund is due to the feedback and suggestions from you, and your club. Most of the recent projects came out of individual people with ideas and passions about specific health areas.

All such suggestions are considered by the Board.

Funding

The fund has now grown in significance and this year will again increase its programs and budget allocation. To maintain this we still require your assistance to bring the fund to your district and to the clubs.

Reports

In submitting your district reports to me could you please give me the following information:

  • • Number of Clubs visited

  • • Fund raising activities
  • • Suggestions to the Board
  • • Any other items of interest
