Dr Bruce Anderson

Bruce, the current president of the Rotary Club of Strathmore, is a practising environmental management professional with many years of experience cleaning up contaminated industrial sites around the world.

Bruce is an Associate Professor (Honorary) at the University of Melbourne and delivers lectures into various programs in the Faculty of Engineering, including Water and Wastewater Management, Bioprocess Engineering, and Bioenvironmental Engineering.

Bruce is one of three international editors for an on-going book series known as the Springer Series on Environmental Management.

The Springer Series is concerned with humanity's stewardship of the environment, our use of natural resources, and the ways in which we can mitigate environmental hazards and reduce risks.

It focuses on the definition and monitoring of environmental problems and the search for solutions to them at scales that vary from global to local.

Bruce will give a personal account of his perspectives in climate change, environmental degradation, and the way forward, with an emphasis upon implications for Rotary and how some Rotary programs may need to change to meet the challenges ahead.
