Rotaract Club of On Friday 5th September, The Rotary Club of Diamond Creek met at Eltham Gateway Motel for the Charter night of the Rotaract Club of Diamond Valley. Also in attendance was the Mayor of Nillumbik, Councillor Warwick Leeson and Carol, and representatives from Rotary District 9790 - District Governor Peter Gilbert and Barbara and District Secretary Peter Peyton, the families of the new Rotaractors, and members of the Rotary Clubs of Diamond Creek, Eltham and Greensborough, who have sponsored the new Rotaract Club. A Rotaractor, Sean Ingram was Master of Ceremonies. District Governor Peter Gilbert presented the Charter to the incoming Rotaract Board, President Alan White and PP Joe Dinatale inducted the 16 Rotaractors, with John Skinner from Rotary Club of Eltham presenting the badges and Jerome Winston from the Rotary Club of Greensborough presenting the certificates. Then Alan White, Joe Dinatale, John Skinner and Jerome Winston, inducted the Charter President Michael Shields. Michael spoke very well in his acceptance speech, following which he inducted the board, Vice President Paul Skinner, Secretary Kat Barrett and Treasurer Matt Bliem.
