Ivanhoe Special
Community
Breakfast

The Rotary Club of Ivanhoe is holding a special Community Breakfast on Wednesday 19 November , 7.00 for 7.15 start to 9.00am.

The guest speaker is Jenny Macklin, Federal Minister for Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs and Member for JagaJaga. She will speak on the theme, “After the Apology....Where to for Indigenous Australians?” Jenny was actively involved in the framing of the apology and will share her insights into and experiences of what is shaping up to be a very significant portfolio with huge challenges with her audience.

The Rotary Club of Ivanhoe see this as an opportunity to hear first-hand how the Federal government direct intervention in the Northern Territory is going and to receive advice about where Rotary Clubs might direct their projects and energies if they want to make a difference in matters like infant mortality, health and education among indigenous Australians.

The community breakfast will be held at the Community Centre, Uniting Church, Seddon Street Ivanhoe. Parking is available in the large car park at the rear of the Community Centre.

The cost for breakfast is $30.00 per head and bookings are essential as numbers are limited.
