Walking Tall
Walking Tall supports the Centre of Molecular Genetics at the Royal Melbourne Hospital which has developed a range of DNA tests that allow the early diagnosis of relapse in leukemia patients. It's the first Centre of its kind in Asia Pacific Region.
The program also supports funding of an oncology trained psychologist in the Albury-Wodonga community. The program gives Rotarians and the community the opportunity to participate in a fund raising walk from Melbourne to Albury.
The Future: Looking ahead, the DNA testing will be expanded to include many types of cancer, and beyond cancer, to support diagnosis and treatment of heart disease and other major health challenges in our community.
